Chardon Gate Stables is a hunter/jumper training barn located on 21+ picturesque acres in Prairie Grove. Our mission is to provide a personalized, supportive environment for both horse and rider. Whether you’re just beginning your riding journey or pursuing competition goals, we are here to guide you every step of the way.
Chardon Gate Stables is a welcoming home for riders and horses alike. Founded on principles of compassion, respect, and dedication, we ensure that every horse and rider feels comfortable, understood, and supported. Our trainers provide attentive, ethical, and humane care, helping each partnership reach its full potential.

Our Facility and Land
Space to ride, train & unwind
Set on over 16 beautiful acres in Prairie Grove, Chardon Gate Stables offers a welcoming, well-equipped environment for both horses and riders. Our grounds include two outdoor arenas and a spacious indoor arena—all recently upgraded with limestone bases and brand-new footing to ensure safety, comfort, and performance in every season.
We provide both heated-stall boarding and pasture board options, ideal for active show horses, retirees, or those in recovery. Horses enjoy plenty of outdoor time—typically 8 or more hours a day, weather permitting—and receive attentive care with free-choice hay, fresh mixed grain, and customized feeding plans upon request.
Beyond the arenas, riders can explore open pastures, scenic trails, and quiet paths around the property, giving every horse a variety of experiences that support both training and relaxation.

Chardon Gate Stables is the lifelong dream of Alexandra and Ernesto, two accomplished hunter/jumper riders and trainers who turned their shared vision into reality in 2024. After many years of teaching, training, and competing, they set out to create a stable that combines professional-level instruction with a warm, inclusive atmosphere for riders and horses of all ages and abilities.
Alexandra and Ernesto are hands-on owners who take pride in knowing every horse and rider personally. Their thoughtful training philosophy emphasizes respect, communication, and humane care—helping both horse and rider perform with confidence and joy.
Under their guidance, Chardon Gate’s riders regularly participate in local and regional shows, gaining valuable experience and celebrating achievements together as a team. From in-barn clinics and group lessons to traveling for competitions, the Chardon Gate team supports one another in and out of the ring, fostering a true sense of community and shared success.
